Job Description

Senior Project Manager (Enterprise & M&A)

Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Work Location: Fully Remote (Eastern or Central Time Zone preferred)

Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card required (No sponsorship available)

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO); Individual Contributor (no direct reports)

Position Overview

This is a net-new, hands-on Senior Project Manager role designed to lead complex strategic initiatives, execute end-to-end acquisition integrations, and establish enterprise PMO governance from the ground up.

Operating as a one-person PMO, this role will partner directly with the CIO, executive leadership, and operational stakeholders to drive technology modernization, healthcare integrations, and AI initiatives across a multi-site provider network. Over the next 18 to 24 months, this individual will build the processes, frameworks, and portfolio prioritization models required to mature the function into an Enterprise PMO (EPMO).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead End-to-End M&A Technology Integrations: Manage full-lifecycle acquisition integrations (~40% of the role), taking ownership from initial due diligence and post-close onboarding through TSA rundown for expanding multi-site healthcare locations.
  • Establish PMO Governance & Intake: Design and deploy baseline PMO standards, including formalized project intake procedures, portfolio prioritization frameworks, risk/issue tracking (RAID), and executive reporting cadences.
  • Drive Strategic AI & Enterprise Automation Initiatives: Lead forward-looking technology projects, including AI Scribe deployment for clinical documentation, call center analytics and sentiment integration, automated financial workflows, and data lake health analytics.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Workstreams: Facilitate technology and operational initiatives across operations, finance, clinical leadership, call centers, and external vendor partners without direct supervisory authority.
  • Manage Executive Communications & Steering Committees: Prepare steering committee materials, status dashboards, and executive updates for C-suite leaders while maintaining alignment on business outcomes and capacity heatmaps.
  • Perform Hands-On Project Administration: Handle all tactical project tasks independently, including project plan creation, meeting coordination, calendar scheduling, board tracking, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of enterprise project management experience leading complex technology or operational transformation projects.
  • Direct, Full-Lifecycle M&A Experience: Proven track record leading acquisition integrations from due diligence through post-close integration and TSA exit (not just supporting a single workstream).
  • PMO Build-Out Experience: Demonstrated experience building or formalizing PMO governance, project intake processes, and executive status reporting from scratch.
  • AI & Automation Implementation: Experience managing AI, enterprise automation, or digital transformation projects with a focus on driving adoption and measuring business value.
  • Hands-On Operating Style: Proven success operating as an individual contributor who can present to executive leadership while personally managing day-to-day project coordination and scheduling.
  • Work Authorization: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare Industry Background: Experience within multi-site provider organizations, MSOs, outpatient clinical environments, or systems involving EMR/EHR platforms and physician workflows.
  • Private Equity Experience: Background working within private equity-backed organizations built through rapid acquisition.
  • Tool & Governance Familiarity: Experience using monday.com or equivalent project portfolio management (PPM) tools.
  • Certifications: PMP or related project management certifications.
