Backend Engineer in UNITED KINGDOM

Our service is a zero-knowledge architecture-based data verification system built on blockchain technology. We provide an ecosystem where companies can share answers, or insights about their datasets with other companies, instead of sharing the data itself.This means the benefits of data sharing between organisations can be realised without the privacy, commercial and legal risks.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable problem solver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be part of a versatile team that is responsible for deploying proof of concepts across diverse market settings and is led by an award-winning CTO who specialises in artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cryptography. As we actively explore different client use cases and environments, we are looking for a quick learner with a problem-solving attitude, capable of swiftly adapting to a range of tasks. Ability to work remotely and on your own is important.

While your experience may be limited, we are committed to guiding and mentoring you. Your capacity to independently tackle challenges with direction is vital. The ideal candidate should be passionate about working on true innovation; we are continuously pushing the boat in what's possible in data collaboration whilst upholding its privacy and want to find someone who is keen to join us in that challenge. You should feel comfortable working for a startup and be fully dedicated to propelling our product forward. Your contributions to our success will be met with reciprocal support for your development.

This is a permanent, fully-remote role based in the UK. 

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will possess: 

• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java
• Experience with Spring Boot 
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git 

Desired Skills: 

In addition to the core qualifications, candidates with expertise in the following areas will be highly regarded: 

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure 
• Experience with Corda 
• Basic understanding or interest in Cryptography and related libraries
• Understanding of DevOps pipelines such as Terraform and Ansible 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with the development team to contribute to the design and implementation of back-end solutions 
• Utilise Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot to develop robust efficient server-side applications 
• Implement and maintain version control using Git 
• Explore and integrate cloud technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Azure 
• Contribute to projects involving Corda blockchain technology 
• Participating in DevOps pipelines such as Terraform and Ansible 
• Open to doing demo’s to potential customers and participating in these meetings
