Information Security Analyst (SOC) | Remote | Direct Hire
Threat hunting. Incident response. Real SOC automation, not just ticket triage. If you want to build detection capability instead of just reacting to alerts, this one's worth a look.
TalentFish is partnering with a large, complex enterprise to strengthen a growing Information Security department's Security Operations function. This is a hands-on role: you're investigating, hunting, and responding, not just monitoring a dashboard.
What you'll do:
- Lead incident response, triage, and investigation across malware, phishing, and emerging threats
- Proactively hunt for active threats using threat intel and institutional knowledge
- Investigate email-based attacks: phishing, BEC, malware delivery, account takeover
- Support eDiscovery and insider threat investigations alongside Privacy, Legal, and HR
- Contribute to detection engineering, automation, and SOC AI workflows
- Own and continuously improve SOC playbooks based on real incident trends

What you bring:
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years in security operations or equivalent training
- Working knowledge of SIEM platforms and query languages (Yara-L, CQL, SPL, etc.)
- Strong grounding in network security fundamentals: NDR, intrusion detection, malware analysis, cyber forensics
- Scripting/programming (Python, PowerShell, Go) strongly preferred
- Sharp written and verbal communication, sound judgment on security and privacy matters
- GIAC certifications a plus (GASAE, GPYC, GMLE, GCSA)
