About the Role
Huawei is seeking a passionate and experienced IT Engineer to join our team in Panama.
You will play a vital role in ensuring our IT infrastructure's smooth operation and maintenance, supporting various office functions, and enhancing user experience.
Responsibilities
• Maintain IT Environment: Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of IT systems,
including the IT room infrastructure, network, e-print system, access control system,
conference system, and CCTV system.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Troubleshoot advanced network and software issues
efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operation.
• Network Management: Manage and administer network lines in Panama, collaborating
with procurement and administrative departments to update line contracts, manage
monthly payments, and ensure optimal network performance.
• Project Implementation: Collaborate with the IT team to support the IT project
implementation, testing, and successful go-live phases.
• VIP & Event Support: Provide technical support for VIP conferences and external large-scale exhibitions, ensuring seamless technology integration.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Manage and mentor the local service outsourcing team,
fostering ongoing improvement in their service delivery.
• International Support: Offer technical expertise and participate in IT projects for other
countries, including Mexico and Peru.
Qualifications
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills (mandatory for application)
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in operating and maintaining IT rooms,
networks, audio/video systems, and access control systems.
• Ability to independently configure network devices and troubleshoot network problems.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and
resolving technical issues.
• Strong learning ability and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Familiarity with Huawei network equipment preferred. Certifications like HCNA (CCNA),
HCNP (CCNP), or HCIE (CCIE) or equivalent are a plus.
