Our client, a leading company in the iGaming industry, is looking for a Backend Developer to join their team in Malta.
We are currently seeking candidates based in Sri Lanka who are interested in relocating to Malta for this exciting career opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js, PHP, and Go (Golang).
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while resolving system defects.
- Develop and execute test-based applications to ensure software quality.
- Analyse business requirements and enhance existing systems through continuous improvements.
- Monitor application performance, scalability, and security.
- Manage defect tracking and provide timely resolutions.
- Create technical specifications and test plans.
- Support day-to-day system operations and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements
- Degree or certification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
- Junior-level experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in Node.js, PHP, and Go (Golang).
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Git and version control.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of web services and service-oriented architecture is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Based in Sri Lanka and willing to relocate to Malta.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
