Job Description

About The Company

Confido is at the forefront of AI infrastructure tailored for the modern consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. Our platform empowers over 200 brands, including notable names such as OLIPOP, Simple Mills, Dr. Squatch, and Tropicana, to streamline and optimize their operations. From deductions to production planning, our integrated system consolidates finance, accounting, sales, and operations into a unified platform, facilitating efficiency and strategic decision-making. As a rapidly growing company, we are experiencing a 5x year-over-year growth rate and have recently secured a $15 million Series A funding round led by Footwork and Y Combinator. Our small, in-person team based in New York City offers a dynamic environment where every team member has the opportunity to influence product development, shape company culture, and contribute to our collective success. We are committed to fostering innovation and providing our clients with cutting-edge solutions that transform their operational landscape.

About The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team. In this foundational role, you will be instrumental in developing the analytics layer that enables both Confido and our customers to gain actionable insights from their financial and operational data. Your work will involve designing intuitive dashboards, developing core metrics, and surfacing insights that inform strategic decisions across various functions. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and clients to understand analytics needs and deliver solutions that drive business value. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the company's data culture, establish best practices for analytics delivery, and contribute to the growth of a pioneering platform in the CPG industry. Based in New York City, this position supports relocation and offers an engaging environment for professionals passionate about data and technology.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strategic thinking. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of experience in data analysis or related roles, with a proven track record of working with large datasets and complex SQL queries. Strong proficiency in building dashboards and analytical reports is essential, alongside the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. A background in finance, retail, or operational datasets is highly desirable. Candidates with technical or quantitative degrees will have an added advantage, along with experience using BI tools such as Looker, Omni, or Mode. A passion for working in high-ownership, fast-paced startup environments is also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product, engineering, and customer teams to understand their analytics needs and objectives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools for internal teams and external clients.
  • Write advanced SQL queries to analyze large-scale financial and operational datasets, uncover trends, and identify anomalies.
  • Define and monitor key business metrics and KPIs to track performance and inform decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization by analyzing retailer and financial data, providing strategic recommendations.
  • Lead analytical projects from initial exploration through to deployment, ensuring timely and impactful delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance data models, improve data quality, and optimize underlying datasets.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear visualizations and insights that support business growth and operational efficiency.

Benefits

  • Equity participation, allowing you to own a piece of the company's future success.
  • Fully paid health insurance coverage through Aetna, covering 100% of premiums.
  • Comprehensive dental and vision plans provided by Guardian.
  • Paid parental leave for up to 12 weeks to support work-life balance.
  • Unlimited paid time off, with regular 4-day holiday weekends that the team actually takes.
  • 401(k) retirement plan managed through Vestwell to help plan for your financial future.
  • Paid relocation assistance to support your move to New York City.
  • Full desk setup on your first day, including a laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a $200 stipend to personalize your workspace.
  • Access to catered Friday lunches, team dinners, and unlimited coffee and snacks featuring our own brands, fostering a collaborative and energized work environment.
