Part-Time Applied Mathematics Educator & Content Creator (IIT JEE Math & Data Science)

About the job

• It’s a part-time applied math educator and content creator role for IIT JEE Math and Math for Data Science courses
• This  is a multispeciality role requiring expertise in Linear Algebra, Wavelets, Stats & Probability, Calculus, Diff Equations and IIT- JEE Advanced.
• Will be a contract position for 3 to 6 months (might be extended in the future)
• It’s a 100% remote role.

Responsibilities

A. Teaching:

• Curriculum Development - Design comprehensive courses that cover essential topics in linear algebra, calculus, and their applications in machine learning and JEE Mathematics. Develop a syllabus that outlines learning objectives, key concepts, and a timeline for course delivery.
• Lecture Delivery - Present engaging and clear lectures, both in-person and online, that explain complex mathematical concepts in an accessible manner to separate groups of Machine Learning and JEE Mathematics enthusiasts. Utilize various teaching methods, including interactive activities, discussions, and practical examples, to enhance understanding.
• Assessment and Evaluation - Create assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects to assess students’ understanding and progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.
• Student Support - Offer office hours and extra help sessions to assist students with difficult topics. Respond to student inquiries and provide additional resources for those needing extra support.

B. Content Creation:

• Educational Content Development - Develop written, visual, and multimedia content that explains linear algebra and calculus concepts and their relevance to machine learning. Create tutorials, problem sets, and practical examples that illustrate the application of mathematical concepts in machine learning.
• Online Course Creation - Design and develop online courses or modules, including video lectures, deliver live on camera YT and Zoom sessions, interactive exercises, and assessments. Use educational technology platforms to create an engaging and effective learning experience.
• Resource Development - Write guides and documents that serve as comprehensive resources for students. Develop supplementary materials such as cheat sheets, formula sheets, and summary notes.

C. Machine Learning Application:

• Integration with Machine Learning - Explain how linear algebra and calculus concepts are applied in machine learning algorithms and models. Provide real-world examples and case studies that demonstrate the use of mathematical principles in solving machine learning problems.
• Hands – On Projects - Design and supervise hands-on projects that allow students to apply mathematical concepts to real-world machine learning tasks. Guide students through the process of implementing algorithms, analyzing data, and interpreting results.
• Strong problem - solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• BTech - Math & Computing or MSc Mathematics
• Attention to detail
• Passion to teach
• All-rounded BTech candidate well-versed in MATLAB + Python + Linear Algebra + Calculus + ML + DS
