Job Description
We are seeking a GRC Engineer to lead MS Purview data governance, security, and compliance initiatives across an enterprise environment. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, eDiscovery, Legal Hold, and MS 365 Security. Though the position is remote, you must reside near Austin, Dallas, Houston, New York City, or Washington, DC
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and administer Microsoft Purview solutions
- Manage eDiscovery, Legal Hold, retention, and compliance processes
- Develop and enforce data governance and information protection policies
- Configure and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and sensitivity labeling
- Monitor compliance posture, insider risk, and security incidents
- Implement identity governance and access controls within Microsoft Entra ID
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell
- Create compliance reporting and dashboards using Power BI
- Collaborate with legal, information governance, and IT stakeholders to support firm-wide compliance initiatives

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including eDiscovery and Legal Hold
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Security, DLP, Information Protection, and Compliance Manager
- Expertise with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Entra ID
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
