Job Description

Marketing Executive at London Fintech - £30-£32.5k with stock options

Location: Remote | Department: Marketing | Type: Full-time or 4 days/week

About Expend

Expend is a fast-growing London-based Fintech startup revolutionising how businesses manage expenses. Our powerful, all-in-one platform streamlines business spending with automation - covering everything from receipts and mileage to invoices, tax reporting, and smart payment cards. We're transforming a vast industry plagued by outdated systems with innovative, intuitive software that saves time, reduces hassle, and puts control back in the hands of finance teams.

We’re tackling a massive global market and are already seeing exciting traction. With a bold mission, strong product-market fit, and ambitious growth plans, Expend offers a unique opportunity to be part of something impactful from an early stage.

About the role

We're looking for a motivated Marketing Executive to join Expend's growing marketing team. This is a hands-on role where you'll get real experience across content, demand generation, and product marketing - contributing to campaigns and growing with us as we scale.

You'll work remotely most of the time, with monthly office days in London. We're a driven, fast-moving team that genuinely welcomes new ideas, so if you're creative, curious, and proactive, you'll fit right in.

No two weeks will look the same - priorities will shift as the business evolves, product development progresses, and marketing focus adapts. You won't be expected to be across all of these responsibilities at once, and you'll always have support in navigating where to focus.

This role reports to the Head of Marketing.

What you’ll do
  • Work with the Head of Marketing on a daily basis across multiple projects to ensure consistent messaging and aligned priorities
  • Write and edit content across channels (blog posts, emails, social copy, landing pages) that reflects Expend's brand voice
  • Support marketing campaigns across email, social, website, events, webinars and paid channels
  • Support lead generation activity, such as campaign set-up, webinar promotion or event follow-up
  • Support product launches with explainer content, FAQs, feature pages, and campaign copy using clear, benefit-led messaging
  • Work with sales to create useful assets, such as one-pagers, case studies, comparison sheets or nurture emails
  • Repurpose long-form content into shorter assets such as LinkedIn posts, email snippets, and ad copy
  • Research competitors and market trends to inform positioning and messaging
  • Assist tracking of campaign performance, including traffic, leads, conversion rates, email engagement and source attribution

What we’re looking for
  • 1-3 years of marketing experience (internships and placements count)
  • Strong writing skills with a sharp eye for detail
  • Creative thinker who's confident bringing ideas to the table
  • A self-motivated individual who ask questions proactively, and stays organised under deadline pressure
  • Quick learner who picks up new tools and processes fast
  • Curious about B2B SaaS, fintech, or expense management
  • Based in the UK with the right to work

Nice to have
  • Hands-on experience with any marketing tools including: HubSpot, Canva, Contentful, Navattic, Intercom, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Figma
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to structure workflows and increase productivity
  • Examples of content or campaigns you've worked on

What we offer
  • Competitive base salary offered (£30k - £32.5k dependent on experience)
  • Full-time or 4-day week considered - we care about work-life balance
  • Share stock options
  • Flexible working - fully remote with access to our London co-working hub
  • An open-door culture where everyone is approachable
  • Ongoing training, mentorship, and career progression opportunities
  • The chance to be part of a vibrant, ambitious business where your ideas and creativity genuinely matter
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Great maternity and paternity policies
  • Monthly social team events, Summer and Christmas team events, and a fun, inclusive company culture

Our interview process
  • Intro call with a short task
  • Interview with the Head of Marketing
  • Final interview with Marketing and a member of the C-Suite
