Senior Jira Automation Engineer in CYPRUS

We use Jira as a central tool to track and manage our agile and traditional project methodologies. As a Senior Jira Automation Engineer, you will work with a robust tech stack that includes Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other Atlassian products integrated with various third-party productivity and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support cloud Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian products to ensure stable operation as required
• Configure Jira workflows, schemas, and user permissions to meet the needs of various project teams
• Develop and implement automation rules using Jira Automation, Jira Scriptrunner, or similar tools to streamline processes
• Integrate Jira with other systems and tools, such as Gitlab, Bitbucket, Slack, BambooHR, CI/CD pipelines
• Provide user support and training for Jira and related Atlassian products
• Monitor system performance, conduct regular maintenance, and implement updates and fixes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design Jira solutions that meet project goals
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Jira configurations, processes, and best practices
• Stay updated of the latest developments in the Jira and Atlassian ecosystem and recommend improvements

Requirements

• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Jira administration, including setting up automations and workflows, user management, and security settings
• Knowledge of Jira Rest API and other tools for integrating Jira with other tools and platforms, such as Bitbucket, Slack, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools
• Experience writing scripts and automations using Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or similar tools
• Deep understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and their application in Jira
• Experience in user support, training and documentation
• Excellent command of English, Greek and/or Russian is an advantage
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing and meeting deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Eager to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
