Job Summary
Seeking product leader to lead product as we launch and scale our platform. This role reports directly to the President and owns the product function day to day: roadmap, requirements, backlog, and sprint execution. It is the senior-most product role.
This is a high-autonomy, hands-on role for a pragmatic operator who spans product strategy input, product management, business analysis, and agile delivery. You will work directly with the President, Technology Leads, Design, Sales, customer-facing teams, and customers to make sure the right things get built clearly, quickly, and well.
You are a master of clarity. You take complex, ambiguous business and customer needs and refine them into crisp requirements, well-formed user stories, and unambiguous acceptance criteria that developers can build from. You thrive in a lean, fast-moving environment where product discipline matters and bureaucracy does not.
This role is accountable to measurable outcomes. Success is defined by delivery performance and product adoption data, not activity or opinion.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the product roadmap and delivery day to day: requirements, Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog management, and sprint execution.
• Contribute strategic input to product direction; the President and CEO hold overall strategy, and you shape and own the roadmap that delivers it.
• Translate product epics into clear, well-formed user stories that developers can execute against.
• Gather and synthesize requirements from customers, GTM, operations, and internal stakeholders, filtering and prioritizing based on business impact.
• Facilitate agile delivery routines: backlog grooming, sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and delivery follow-through.
• Manage the product backlog with clear visibility into priorities, dependencies, risks, and blockers.
• Partner directly with Technology Leads to keep requirements clear and delivery on track; unblock developers.
• Partner with the President and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) on prioritization, sequencing, roadmap, and product operating cadence.
• Work with Design to clarify workflows and user experience needs, and translate agreed direction into buildable requirements.

• Align GTM and customer-facing teams on release schedules and product capabilities so what ships supports adoption and business priorities.
• Engage directly with customers and analyze usage data to validate ideas, identify friction, and improve product decisions.
• Mature product operating model with lightweight process, fast cycles, and a single source of truth.
• Coach or support junior PM, BA, or product operations resources as the team grows.
How Success Is Measured
Performance is evaluated against objective delivery and outcome metrics, with baselines and targets set with the President in the first 90 days:
• Delivery predictability: Predictable share of committed sprint scope shipped per sprint, tracked over time.
• Speed: Cycle time from accepted requirement to release; on-time release rate against communicated dates.
• Requirement quality: Rework and defect rates attributable to unclear or incomplete requirements; percentage of stories accepted by the technology team without clarification loops.
• Backlog health: Backlog coverage of upcoming sprints with refined, estimated, ready stories; aging of unresolved dependencies and blockers.
• Outcomes: Feature adoption and usage against pre-defined success criteria stated in each PRD before build begins.
• Stakeholder alignment: Release-alignment confirmation from Technology, GTM, and customer-facing teams at each launch.
Decision Rights
To keep the role measurable and accountable, decision ownership is explicit:
• Product owns: This role owns prioritization, scope, sequencing, requirements, and acceptance criteria within the direction set with the President. Prioritization decisions are justified by business impact, customer evidence, and usage data.
• Design partners: Design owns interaction and visual design quality and contributes research insights. Design input informs product decisions; it does not redefine scope, priority, or acceptance criteria. Disagreements are resolved on evidence, with the President as tie-breaker.
• Technology owns: Technology Leads own technical feasibility, estimates, and implementation approach.
• Evidence over opinion: Every feature enters build with written success criteria. Debates after that point are resolved against those criteria and data, not preference.

• Ability to translate ambiguous business or customer needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience owning product in a lean environment, from roadmap through hands-on delivery.
• Comfortable being the senior-most product voice, partnering directly with a President and board-facing leadership.
• Track record of being measured on delivery and outcome metrics, and comfort operating against them.
• Excellent communication across product, technology, design, GTM, operations, and customers.
• Strong organizational discipline; manages detail without losing sight of business outcomes.
• Self-starter able to operate independently with limited oversight in a fully remote environment while keeping stakeholders aligned.
• Strong judgment on tradeoffs, sequencing, scope, and delivery risk.
• Comfortable working directly with senior developers and technical leads.
• Hands-on, pragmatic, and willing to roll up your sleeves to unblock delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
