If your background is in shipbuilding, naval architecture, or marine engineering, this Structural Designer position near Den Bosch, the Netherlands, brings you close to both yacht engineering and construction. You will prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for the hull, outfitting, and exterior structures, and work in 3DX as part of an international team where English is the main language. If needed, relocation support is available.
Where Youโll Work
You will join the Shipbuilding Engineering Department at a shipyard where custom superyachts are engineered and built in-house. The department works closely with Mechanical Engineering, Interior Engineering, and the construction teams responsible for turning your drafts into finished yachts.
The construction halls are adjacent to your engineering workplace, allowing you to follow how your drawings are implemented during the build. Every yacht is different, giving you exposure to a broad range of structural, outfitting, and exterior design challenges.

What Youโll Do
- Translate yacht design plans into clear and accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings.
- Work in 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
- Prepare construction drafts for hull structures, outfitting, and exterior components.
- Develop technical details that provide the basis for fabrication and assembly.
- Coordinate drafting interfaces with Shipbuilding, Mechanical and Interior Engineering colleagues.
- Discuss technical details and practical construction questions with colleagues at the shipyard.
- Follow the implementation of your drawings during construction and use feedback from the shipyard in your work.
- Communicate technical information with engineering, construction, and crew representatives at the relevant stages of the project.
What You Bring
- A bachelorโs degree in Shipbuilding Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience preparing technical and construction drawings in shipbuilding or superyacht design.
- Practical knowledge of hull construction, outfitting or exterior construction.
- Good working knowledge of 2D and 3D AutoCAD.
- The ability to interpret design plans and translate them into clear, accurate working drawings.
- A practical and accurate way of working, with the confidence to discuss technical details with engineering and construction colleagues.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Dutch language skills would be an advantage.
- Experience with 3DX design software would be useful, but this can also be developed through the internal learning programme.
