Project Description:

Large hedge fund is a private institutional investment management complex consisting of an international team of researchers and technologists who constantly work toward ever-greater quantification and automation in the development of processes.

Responsibilities:

The role will be focus on administrating existing custom applications and 3rd party tools (Jira, Confluence, Tableau, InfluxDB and others) that are used internally to support many aspects of firm's operations. The candidate will be supporting existing use cases and work on tasks to develop new capabilities, enhance automation, and building advance monitoring of the services we offer.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Prior experience with administering Atlassian products
• 1-3 year experience with web application support / devops.
• Able to program in modern programming languages. Prior experience with Python is ideal.
• Exposure to databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable working in Unix environment and have prior experience writing shell scripts

Nice-to-Have:

• Some knowledge in web frameworks (Flask, Django, Mason), MVC architecture, Javascript, AJAX, React, HTML, REST API will be plus.
• Prior experience with Tableau, Vertica, InfluxDB would be a plus.
• Prior experience with software automation tools such as NIX, Fabric, Ansible, Salt would be a plus.
