Role Description The Game Developer (Japan) role is a full-time remote position focused on creating interactive experiences that leverage LIFEFORM AI’s sensing and behavior recognition technologies. In this role, you will design and implement gameplay systems that translate real-world movements and skills into engaging game mechanics for wellness, sports, and training applications. You will collaborate with designers, data scientists, and product teams to prototype concepts, optimize performance, and integrate AI-driven insights into games. Daily activities include writing clean, maintainable code, contributing to game architecture decisions, iterating based on user feedback and analytics, and ensuring localization and cultural relevance for players in Japan. You will also participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of development practices within a distributed, cross-functional team.

Qualifications
- Strong programming foundations, with proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Experience in Game Programming and Gameplay Programming, including implementation of core mechanics and game systems.
- Knowledge of Game Design principles, with the ability to collaborate on player experience, balancing, and interaction design.
- Experience with one or more game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-cultural environment, including collaboration across time zones.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to performance and optimization, and a focus on clean, testable code.
- Familiarity with integrating sensor data, AI/ML outputs, or IoT devices into interactive applications is a plus.
- Professional proficiency in English; Japanese language skills and experience developing for Japanese audiences are advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
