Senior Web Developer

Griffon Webstudios is a U.S.-based digital agency delivering high-quality websites and digital solutions for businesses across multiple industries. We're hiring a web developer who can take a project from brief to launch without someone standing over their shoulder.

Your Role

• Build and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites end to end, theme development, customization, plugin/app configuration, and performance optimization
• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive builds. If a 4px spacing inconsistency doesn't bother you, this isn't your role
• Own your projects: scope your own tasks, flag risks early, hit deadlines you committed to
• Handle site speed, Core Web Vitals, and clean semantic markup as defaults, not afterthoughts
• Collaborate with our SEO, content, and design teams, your builds directly affect how client campaigns perform
• Write clear, concise status updates. We work across US and UK time zones; your written communication is how the team knows where things stand

What we need from you?

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience shipping WordPress and Shopify sites (portfolio required, we will look at your live work, not your résumé claims)
• Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Liquid experience for Shopify theme work
• A genuine eye for design detail, typography, spacing, alignment, motion. You should be able to spot what's wrong with a page before anyone tells you
• Self-management: you don't need daily check-ins to make progress
• Comfortable working remotely with a distributed team

What we don't need

• Page-builder-only experience (Elementor/Divi with no custom code underneath)
• Developers who need a fully written spec for every task
• Anyone who ships and waits to be told what broke
