Job Description
Position: Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Infrastructure
Location: 100% Remote. EST and CST preferred. If not in those time zones – they will have to work CST hours.
Projects:
- Data Lakehouse (Fabric)
- Q-Cash subsidiary (supporting their Azure environment)
- on-prem things (end-of-life server 2026 project)
- Entra ID
- New office set ups
Timeline of moving to cloud: It is a gradual migration/transition from on-prem to cloud and will take several years to get there and perhaps never be 100% cloud
Requirements:
Need to be hands on still – looking for technical ability over leadership (but still both)

- DEEP Azure cloud knowledge/ expertise
- This person will help them decide which direction to go and which types of skillsets to hire for
- Terraform Infrastructure As Code
- Experience working in a hybrid environment. Cloud/on prem
- Certifications. Need to have at least one. Preferably an azure one. AZ-900 is the fundamental/entry-level.
- Prior leadership experience
- OK with people leadership (1x1s, performance evals, etc.)
- Ok working in a non-silo’d environment
Knowledge and Skills:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, systems engineering or platform operations.
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing cloud and/or on-prem infrastructure teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading Microsoft Azure environments at enterprise scale.
- Experience operating hybrid environments supporting business critical applications.
- Proven success in regulated or audited environments (financial services, healthcare, etc.).
- Experience managing infrastructure budgets and vendor relationships.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer Science or a related field.
Preferred certifications (one or more): Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500), Microsoft Certified: Azure Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-303), CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
