Job Description
The Role
As IT Director, you'll own the resort's entire technology environment โ from infrastructure and security to vendor management and team leadership. This is a high-visibility position reporting into resort leadership.
Reponsibilities:
- Lead the strategy, design, and continuous improvement of the resort's IT infrastructure โ ensuring it's scalable, reliable, and secure
- Manage technology projects end-to-end, keeping delivery on time, on budget, and on spec
- Oversee day-to-day operations across PMS, POS, financial systems, document management, spa/retail/recreation systems, telecom/PBX, and security systems
- Own user access administration, ensuring proper authorization and clean provisioning/deprovisioning
- Drive incident management and proactive stakeholder communication
- Monitor and optimize network performance property-wide
- Ensure backups and disaster recovery are tested and documented
- Evaluate emerging technology and recommend improvements that boost efficiency
- Enforce IT policy and maintain compliance with PCI-DSS, GDPR, and other regulatory standards
- Deliver training to improve technology adoption across the team
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, plus hardware/software/license inventories
- Run cost-benefit analysis on IT investment decisions

Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
- Degree or accreditation in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, PMP, or ITIL preferred
- Prior experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or hospitality
- Strong technical grounding in Windows server/desktop environments, Opera PMS, POS systems, HRIS, and telecom platforms
- Working knowledge of network architecture, VLANs, IPTV, VoIP, and videoconferencing
- Experience with VMware, SCCM, backup/recovery platforms, and enterprise security
- Familiarity with PCI-DSS, GDPR, and information security governance
- A leader who can juggle competing priorities under pressure, work independently, and build a collaborative team culture
- Flexibility to support after-hours needs during service disruptions or critical incidents
