Job Summary

You will lead, invent and design best in class customer experiences for a range of SaaS digital products. We’ll look for you to define and extend the UI and UX designs of products, working closely with the product manager, researchers, and the customer success team. You’ll enjoy a varied breadth of work and you’ll gain valuable exposure across a broad range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Working within the Product and Tech team and collaborating with key stakeholders to develop user-centred design solutions using data driven decisions to deliver customer and business value.
• Assist the Product Manager during the Product Discovery process contributing to critical thinking.
• Develop storyboards, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate designs for product development derived from the strategic roadmap.
• Participating in user research and leveraging user analytics to gauge the usability of new and existing products/features, with the ability to analyse and predict user behaviour.
• Use of multiple input sources to understand and empathise with customers and team members' needs, to create effective and innovative customer and user journeys.
• Take ownership and extend the EmpowerRD Design System.
• Participating in sprint and iteration planning, refinement, retrospectives, and iteration reviews.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to hold a portfolio that demonstrates creative and analytical thinking and the delivery of effective UX solutions. We’ll look for you to have experience in supporting user-centred design (UCD) processes and creating materials to support effective user testing and concept communication. You’ll have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

• BA Hons or higher in User Experience or Digital Design (or equivalent degree).
• 2 years experience at a fintech or fast growth challenger company.
• Proven track record in designing digital products.
• Experience with designing UX wireframes and High Fidelity UI Design.
• Experience of defining or contributing to a Design System.
• Experience ensuring all designs are aesthetically excellent and consistent.
• Experience in Design Sprints
• Experience in Design sprint 2.0 process & Method
• Experience in Design Tokens
• Track record transforming business requirements, data points and user needs into creative solutions that meet the strategic goal.
• Experience working within Agile teams.
• Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Sketch, Miro, Figma, HTML, CSS, Design Systems, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to self prioritize tasks based on business objectives.
