Job Description

Tech Pipeline is helping a major Jeddah-based infrastructure developer resolve data drift and system friction across their sprawling operations. We are looking for an Associate Frontend Engineer to join our fully remote team and help us build the interfaces that keep these complex projects on track.

About the role
In this role, you will focus on the practical side of frontend development. Many companies have internal systems that are confusing or broken, leading to manual workarounds in spreadsheets and email. We step in to fix these gaps. For our client in the infrastructure sector, this means creating and refining the tools that manage large-scale construction data, approval chains, and resource routing. You will not be focused on building decorative marketing sites or complex animations. Instead, you will be looking at how operators actually use business software and fixing the friction that slows them down. This position is fully remote, allowing you to focus on the technical work from wherever you are most productive. The goal is to build something reliable that works every time, even when the underlying data is messy.

What you will be doing
  • Building and maintaining internal web interfaces that connect directly to the source of truth for project data.
  • Tracking down specific UI bugs by reading browser logs and investigating network requests to identify where data is failing.
  • Updating and refining routing rules within the frontend logic to ensure project updates move through approval chains correctly.
  • Collaborating with our backend engineers to make sure the data displayed in the interface matches the backend logs exactly.
  • Creating simple, clear dashboards that help operations managers see where their backlogs are beginning to form in real time.
  • Writing technical documentation for every component you build to ensure the client can maintain the system once our work is done.
  • Rebuilding forms and data entry points to minimize human error and reconciliation issues during monthly reporting cycles.
  • Participating in focused code reviews that prioritize functional correctness and readable code over unnecessary complexity.

What we need from you
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of modern web development, specifically HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • A basic understanding of a frontend framework like React, Vue, or similar component-based systems used for building web apps.
  • The ability to explain technical issues clearly to both other engineers and non-technical operators in plain English.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when it involves how data is formatted, validated, and displayed to a user.
  • An interest in understanding how business processes work under the hood rather than just seeing the interface as a set of pixels.
  • The habit of checking your work against the technical requirements and testing for common error states and edge cases.
  • Basic knowledge of Git and how to manage code changes, branches, and pull requests in a professional environment.
  • A willingness to learn how to trace data from the user interface back to the underlying database logs to find the root cause of a problem.

Helpful background
  • Previous internship experience or personal projects that involve building functional web applications with real data.
  • Some exposure to how large organizations manage their operations, logistics, or project backlogs.
  • Familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data in a web interface.
  • Basic knowledge of CSS frameworks or design systems that help maintain consistency across multiple internal tools.

What the role offers
  • Full-time technical work in a fully remote environment with a distributed team.
  • Attractive and competitive pay for an entry-level engineering role in this market.
  • Hands-on experience with high-stakes infrastructure data and complex business logic for a major developer.
  • A work culture that values technical ground truth and clear, written communication over constant meetings.
  • Direct mentorship from technical leads who focus on fixing specific, concrete operational problems.
  • The satisfaction of finishing a project and leaving the client with a system that they can actually run on their own.

Working at Tech Pipeline
We believe that the best work happens when people have the space to concentrate on the logs and the code without being interrupted by constant meetings or abstract strategy sessions. At Tech Pipeline, we rely on high-quality documentation and weekly status updates to keep everyone aligned. Our culture is direct and practical: we do not use corporate jargon to describe our work. We focus on identifying the specific routing rule or integration gap that is causing trouble and fixing it. This focus on clear results allows us to keep our teams lean and our work remote. We are not interested in long-term maintainers: we are here to get the system into a state where the client operators can run it themselves and then we move on to the next challenge.
