About The Role

V-Soft Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Java Developer IV to join its team remotely. This role is ideal for a mid-level to senior developer with extensive experience in Java and JavaScript, who is passionate about developing robust, scalable, and secure web applications. As a Java Developer IV, you will be responsible for supporting both new and existing software products, including legacy systems, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions, and custom-developed applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Your expertise will help ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and secure software solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to collaborate with a diverse team from anywhere in the world while contributing to impactful projects for leading organizations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical skills and practical experience, including:

• Mid-level experience in Java development, with at least four years of hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, with a minimum of three years of experience, including familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and enhancing web applications.
• Strong understanding of implementing unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Experience documenting systems, refining requirements, and collaborating with teams to deliver solutions.
• Solid SQL skills for database interactions and data management.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Nice-to-have skills include experience with ReactJS or other Single Page Application (SPA) frameworks, Agile development methodologies, and familiarity with integrating security best practices into software development.

Responsibilities

As a Java Developer IV, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing development support for new and existing software products, including legacy applications, COTS solutions, and custom development projects.
• Designing, coding, testing, and debugging application features in accordance with project requirements and SDLC guidelines.
• Incorporating security measures and quality assurance protocols into all phases of software development to ensure robust and secure applications.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product owners, QA testers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions within Agile sprints.
• Documenting system designs, code, and processes to facilitate maintenance and future enhancements.
• Refining and optimizing existing systems based on feedback and evolving requirements.
• Participating in code reviews, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold coding standards and best practices.
