Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, with a solid background in supporting enterprise IT environments. A four-year degree is preferred; however, candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience—specifically, an additional four years of relevant work—will also be considered. Candidates must hold an active SECRET security clearance and possess at least a DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Certification, with Security+ as a minimum requirement. Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF), FISMA compliance, eMASS, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) is essential. The role requires proficiency in incident response, vulnerability assessment, Windows security, and network security protocols. The Cybersecurity Analyst-MID will be responsible for a broad range of security-related activities, including but not limited to conducting vulnerability assessments and risk analyses to identify potential threats to enterprise systems. They will implement and monitor security controls in accordance with DoD and USASMDC standards, ensuring systems meet all cybersecurity requirements. The role involves performing compliance checks and audits, maintaining security documentation, and supporting the continuous improvement of security posture across the organization. The analyst will respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, coordinating with incident response teams to contain and remediate threats. Additionally, the position requires the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and technical guidelines, including adherence to STIGs and other security benchmarks. The candidate will collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure security measures are integrated seamlessly into operational environments. Ongoing monitoring, reporting, and documentation of security activities will also be key responsibilities, along with staying current on emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices.
