Senior Cyber Security Engineer (Remote)

Role Description The Cyber Security Engineer (contract, remote) will design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, networks, and systems to protect DSPro’s digital assets. This role involves performing regular vulnerability assessments, analyzing security events, and responding to incidents in collaboration with infrastructure and development teams. The engineer will review system and application architectures, recommend security enhancements, and support secure coding practices and configuration hardening. Daily activities include working on penetrations tests, monitoring security tools, documenting findings, preparing reports for stakeholders, and contributing to security policies, standards, and procedures. The Cyber Security Engineer will also help ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and support ongoing security awareness across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including security principles, risk management, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Application Security, with experience in secure coding, threat modeling, code review, and remediation of application-level vulnerabilities.

• Hands-on experience in Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and secure network design.
• Demonstrated capability in Vulnerability Assessment, using industry-standard tools to identify, prioritize, and remediate security issues.
• Experience with security monitoring and incident response, including SIEM platforms, log analysis, and containment procedures.
• Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
