Buchanan Technologies is seeking an experienced Level 2 Systems Engineer to assist our business customers within our Managed Services IT department primarily supporting our clients in the US and Canada. We are seeking a jack of all trades with experience in Infrastructure, Server, Cloud, Networking, and telecommunications, you will need demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills, have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and be willing to proactively support Buchanan Technologies and our business customers.

Responsibilities
- Maintain, update, and monitor customer systems.
- Maintain, update, and monitor customer client workstations and application software.
- Monitor internal ticketing (ITSM) system to assist in the support for customers adhering to ITIL standards
- Administration and Management of Various backup systems.
- Use remote monitoring and management (RMM) company tools for numerous tasks, including:
- OS and third-party application patching.
- Monitor and management of devices.
- Reporting.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 OS and application issues escalated from our L1 support center.
- Maintain and Monitor client Cloud infrastructures
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on a variety of devices.
- Support network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, WiFi controllers, etc.).
- Develop trends by monitoring and analyzing tickets, problems, and support requests.
Requirements
Knowledge and troubleshooting proficiency of:
- 5+ years of experience maintaining, operating, and managing IT environments.
- 2 years Minimum experience as a Systems engineer
- Server operating systems and system administration (Windows, MAC).
- Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and other Windows-based services competencies.
- Cloud computing technologies (M365, Azure).
- General knowledge of network devices such as routers, switches, WIFI, and tools (Cisco, Sophos, Fortigate, Watchguard, Sonicwall).
- Use of MS Office product suite, particularly Excel, Power Point, and Word.
- Experience in monitoring/management tools such as SCCM, BMC Remedy, Connectwise Automate, Service now, and/or more are preferred.
- Prior experience with an ITSM service management ticketing system.
- Experience within an asset management system.
- Ability to work proactively and effectively with customers and deliver high-quality support in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills.
- High degree of professionalism with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
