We're representing an internationally recognised firm seeking an experienced Construction Delivery Architect to join the team delivering a landmark institutional development in Kenya.

The Opportunity

Working as part of an international multidisciplinary team, you will become the architectural lead throughout the construction phase, ensuring the project is delivered to the highest possible standard.

This is not a design-focused role.

Instead, you will play a pivotal role in translating exceptional design into exceptional buildings… protecting the design intent whilst responding to the realities of construction.

You will be trusted to make informed decisions, resolve technical challenges, coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure quality is maintained from construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural delivery throughout the construction phase.
• Protect the design intent whilst responding to real-world site conditions.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Review technical information, construction details and shop drawings.
• Resolve architectural and technical issues as construction progresses.
• Undertake site inspections and monitor quality throughout delivery.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.

• Guide contractors where required to achieve the expected design quality.
• Collaborate closely with engineering disciplines throughout construction.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of a landmark institutional development.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has...

Essential

• Architectural background
• Significant experience delivering projects during the construction phase
• Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge
• Experience coordinating contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Confidence making decisions within a live construction environment
• The ability to solve problems calmly and pragmatically under pressure
• Proficiency using Revit

Highly Desirable

• Experience delivering large, complex or technically demanding developments
• Experience working within challenging construction environments
• Experience across institutional, healthcare, education, civic, infrastructure or publicly funded projects
• Experience working within multicultural or international project teams
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Knowledge of FIDIC forms of contract
