Senior Backend Engineer

We're building a next-generation FinTech platform that powers secure digital payments, wallet infrastructure, real-time transaction processing, fraud prevention, and data-driven financial services for users across multiple international markets. This is a modern product built around scalable cloud architecture, distributed systems, and engineering excellence—not legacy maintenance.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, designing scalable systems, and building products that operate under high load with real business impact.

What You'll Do:

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain distributed microservices handling high transaction volumes.
• Develop reliable payment processing services and financial integrations.
• Design APIs consumed by multiple internal and external platforms.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system scalability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, QA, and Engineering teams.
• Participate in architecture discussions and influence technical decisions.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

• Improve monitoring, observability, reliability, and system security.

What We're Looking For:

• 4+ years of commercial Backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Node.js and NestJS.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservice architecture.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building payment systems, billing platforms, or financial transaction services.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, scalability, and system reliability.
• Experience designing secure, production-grade backend applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
