Your future contribution

You'll join a small, high-trust Platform Engineering team (six engineers and a team lead) that runs HomeToGo's cloud platform across AWS (primary) and GCP. As a Senior Cloud Engineer you own load-bearing platform initiatives end to end and are accountable for production outcomes.

How You’ll Add Value

In your first 6–12 months you will:

• Own a major platform migration end to end — from design through production cutover to retiring the legacy system it replaces.
• Deliver the DevOps work behind revenue- and compliance-critical launches on hard deadlines. Advance our GitOps, ingress, and infrastructure-as-code modernization, cutting configuration drift and manual toil.
• Strengthen observability and incident response, closing alerting gaps and running blameless postmortems.
• Set technical direction under ambiguity across a broad, legacy-heavy stack, and raise the team's capability through proactive knowledge-sharing and mentoring.
• Partner with newly acquired teams as their dedicated DevOps contact, and share the weekly working-hours on-duty support rotation.
  
  

You’ll be successful in this role if you

We assume senior-level technical fluency as a given in AWS (primary) and GCP; Kubernetes/EKS; Terraform & Terragrunt with Atlantis; ArgoCD (GitOps) and Envoy Gateway; Prometheus/Grafana and OpenSearch; Okta and Vault; a range of datastores; and an AI-assisted/agentic development workflow.

• Drive loosely-defined, ambiguous initiatives to a shipped outcome without waiting for a spec or to be told the next step.
• Own production outcomes end to end — step up when something breaks, lead the fix, and turn it into a blameless postmortem the team learns from.
• Share knowledge by default — document decisions, teach teammates, and deliberately avoid becoming a single point of knowledge.
• Coordinate across teams and stakeholders — align competing priorities, negotiate trade-offs, and rebuild unclear ownership boundaries.
• Decide under uncertainty — make and defend calls on what to standardize, keep, or retire when there's no obviously "right" answer, and change course when the evidence does.
• Ask openly when you don't know something — treating "let me find out / who knows this?" as a strength, not a gap to hide.
• Adopt new ways of working fast — especially AI-assisted / agentic development — and bring others along with you.
