Quality Assurance Engineer

Company Description Seeed is a marketing-led engineering company and Square’s most awarded developer partner globally, with multiple hackathon wins across consecutive years. The team of around 30 engineers, based in Miami, FL with nearshore support from Latin America, focuses on modern commerce solutions and deep Square integrations. Seeed specializes in headless commerce migrations for mid-market brands, connecting Square to ERPs, CRMs, and commerce platforms to reduce manual work and improve performance. The company also builds Square-native SaaS products under its Pollygon platform, including solutions for cashless payments, reservations, multi-location reporting, and merchant marketplaces. Team members collaborate closely with both marketing and technology stakeholders to deliver solutions that align business goals with robust technical execution.
Role Description The Quality Assurance Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for ensuring the reliability and quality of Seeed’s software products and integrations. In this role, you will design and execute test plans and test cases, perform manual testing across web and API layers, and validate new features, bug fixes, and integrations with Square and other platforms. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements, identify defects early, and provide clear, actionable feedback. Daily activities include documenting test results, tracking issues in project management tools, contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes, and participating in sprint planning and reviews. You will help maintain consistent quality standards across headless commerce migrations, Square SDKs, and SaaS products in a fast-moving, distributed environment.
Qualifications

• Strong Software Testing and Quality Assurance skills, with experience applying structured QA methodologies.
• Hands-on Test Execution and Manual Testing experience to validate features, integrations, and regressions.
• Ability to design, maintain, and improve Test Cases for functional, integration, and regression testing.

• Experience working with web applications, APIs, and integrations (e.g., payment platforms, commerce systems).
• Familiarity with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, TestRail or similar).
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how QA fits into modern development workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and reproducibility.
