IT Infrastructure & Security Manager
100% Remote
We are seeking an IT Infrastructure & Security Manager to oversee the design, administration, and security of a cloud-first IT infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical role focused on AWS infrastructure, cloud security, and operational reliability. Approximately 80% of the role is infrastructure engineering and administration, with 20% dedicated to security, including vulnerability management, penetration testing coordination, and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support AWS infrastructure and cloud services.
- Administer and optimize cloud environments, networking, storage, compute, and identity management.
- Support containerized and microservices-based applications.
- Implement and maintain serverless solutions using AWS Lambda.
- Perform infrastructure monitoring, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and asset management.
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation efforts.
- Implement security controls, IAM policies, and cloud security best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to support secure application deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain documentation, infrastructure standards, and operational procedures.

- Strong experience administering AWS environments, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager.
- Experience supporting microservices architectures and cloud-native applications.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
- Experience with asset management, system lifecycle management, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and security best practices.
