Job Description

Founding AI Automation Engineer

Remote | Global | Relocation to UAE if desired | Project-based initially | Founding leadership opportunity

This role is open globally. The country shown on LinkedIn is only the listing location. You can apply from anywhere.

There are ambitious, technically capable people all over the world who know they are capable of far more than their current situation allows. People who spend their own time experimenting, building and learning tools most companies still barely understand, but who have never been given the autonomy, team or genuine opportunity to show what they can do.

Maybe you taught yourself how to build with AI while working in a role you have already outgrown. Maybe you freelance, build side projects or spend nights and weekends experimenting with agents, APIs, Claude Code, Codex, Lovable, Make.com, n8n, Hermes, Openclaw or whatever else helps you turn an idea into something real.

Maybe you tried building something yourself, but doing the product, sales, delivery and decision-making alone became the bottleneck. Or perhaps you are simply a free agent: capable, entrepreneurial and full of ideas, but missing ambitious people who move at your speed.

You do not need another narrow engineering job working on a tiny part of somebody else’s roadmap. You need someone to bet on you, give you real ownership and let you build the kind of role you always believed you could do.

This role is for that person.

We are offering a founding seat at Sensecore: the opportunity to design and deploy real AI systems for real businesses, shape the technical direction of the company and build alongside a small team of humans and AI agents.

There is no rigid job description and nobody standing over your shoulder. You will have autonomy, responsibility and direct involvement in what we build and how we build it.

About Sensecore

Sensecore is an applied AI-native company built around humans and AI agents working together.

We help SMEs become AI-native by identifying where AI can remove cost, friction and wasted time, then designing and deploying the right system to solve it. That might include AI employees, automated workflows, intelligent integrations, internal tools or agentic systems.

We do not push one product onto every company. We understand how the business works, find the actual problem and build the right intervention around it.

We already operate this way ourselves. An AI CEO called George helps run operations, delegating work across specialist AI agents and humans handling everything from prospecting and research to quality control and client delivery.

The bigger vision is simple: the best companies of the next decade will be small, sharp teams of AI-native operators who can build, sell and launch faster than businesses ten times their size.

That is the company we are building.

The Opportunity

This is not a conventional software engineering role.

You will work directly on business problems, design the right solution and take it from idea to something deployed and useful One week you might build an AI employee that takes care of invoicing and finances. The next, you might automate a client workflow, connect several systems, build an internal tool or design an agentic process with approvals and human oversight.

The work will vary because the problems vary.

You will help us decide what should be built, challenge bad ideas, move quickly from prototype to deployment and make sure what we ship genuinely improves the client’s business. This is applied AI. Not demos for the sake of demos. Not another chatbot wrapper with no clear outcome. We care about systems that save time, reduce cost, increase revenue or allow a small team to operate far beyond its size.

As the company grows, the role grows with it. You could lead technical delivery, build your own team, own an area of the company or help spin successful projects into products of their own.

This is a founding position. It goes as far as you take it.

Who You Are

You are a builder.

You might call yourself an AI engineer, automation engineer, developer, technical operator, product engineer or a blend between solutions engineer/forward deployed engineer and implementation consultant. The title matters less than whether you can take an unclear problem and turn it into something that works.

You have experience with some combination of LLMs, agents, APIs, workflow automation, databases, cloud services, integrations or modern coding tools.

You may work with Python, TypeScript, React, n8n, Supabase, Postgres, Docker, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, MCP, voice AI platforms or entirely different tools. We are not hiring against a rigid checklist.

What matters is that you can learn quickly, choose sensible tools and ship. You do not need a traditional computer science background. You could be entirely self taught. You do need evidence that you can build useful things and solve problems without needing every step defined for you.

You use AI deeply in your own work and see coding agents as leverage. You know when to move quickly and when something needs proper engineering. You are not obsessed with building everything from scratch. You will use existing products, APIs, open-source projects and automation platforms when they are the fastest and most sensible route to the outcome.

You communicate clearly, take ownership and do not disappear when something becomes difficult. You can explain what you are building to non-technical people and challenge a brief when the proposed solution does not make sense.

You know you are capable of more than your current situation demands, and you want to build something real with people who move at your speed.

What we are building

The founding humans who join Sensecore now will shape the company: the culture, technical standards, products, delivery model and the way humans and AI agents work together.

You are not joining a finished structure. You are helping build it.

Some of what we build will be for clients. Some will become reusable systems. Some may develop into standalone products or companies. Not every idea will work, and we are not pretending otherwise, our internal mantra is fail fast. We want people who can test quickly, learn honestly and keep moving.

Remote working:

We work remotely, but we do not want to become an isolated team that only ever meets through a screen. As the company grows, we intend to bring the team together regularly in places such as London, Dubai, Austin, Miami or wherever makes sense, at least once a quarter.

Sensecore is based in Dubai. There is no expectation to relocate, but UAE relocation and visa sponsorship is available for exceptional long-term team members.

The Economics

This is not a salaried role initially. It begins as flexible, project-based collaboration, with compensation, revenue share or profit share agreed before any work starts. But you'll never be expected to work for free.

You are not expected to quit your current job immediately. You can begin alongside your existing work and increase your involvement as the company grows. Every arrangement will be agreed clearly and in writing upfront. No vague promises. No surprises.

The goal is for the role to quickly become salaried, with equity and leadership responsibility, as revenue grows and you prove you can help build the technical function.

This is high upside, but it is not low risk. There is no guaranteed salary at the beginning, and this will not suit somebody who needs immediate predictable income.

How to apply?

We don't care about CVs, instead we focus on what have you built, shipped and deployed. We want to see evidence.

Send us:

  • Something you have built and the problem it solved
  • A technical project you are proud of
  • How you approach turning an unclear business problem into a working system
  • Why this opportunity makes more sense for you than staying where you are

GitHub repos, demos, Loom videos, screenshots, live products, technical write-ups or rough prototypes are all welcome.

Show us how you think, what you can build and how you approach problems.

If you have spent years feeling underused, underestimated or stuck waiting for somebody to give you a genuine opportunity, this may be the moment to bet on yourself.

Come build it with us.
