Job Description
Location: Oxford (Fully Remote with occasional visits to the Oxford office)
Contract Length: Initial 6 months
Rate: £60–£65 per hour (Outside IR35 if applicable)
Zenovo is partnering with an innovative engineering company developing cutting-edge technology within the electrical power and power electronics sector. Due to continued project growth, they are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join their highly skilled engineering team on an initial six-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on advanced embedded software for products used in electrical power applications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop robust, high-reliability solutions for critical infrastructure.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the design, development and implementation of embedded software for sophisticated electronic systems operating within the power electronics and electrical power distribution domain.
Working closely with hardware, systems and test engineers, you'll contribute throughout the full development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through to implementation, integration and verification.

Key Skills & Experience
We're looking for engineers with:
- Strong embedded software development experience using C and/or C++
- Experience developing software for real-time embedded systems
- A solid understanding of AC power distribution and transmission principles, including electrical protection concepts and power system fundamentals
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Confident debugging and integrating embedded software with electronic hardware

Desirable Experience
