Job Description
Role Overview
We're looking for an Intermediate OutSystems Developer (ODC) with 2–4 years of low-code development experience who can independently deliver moderately complex applications end-to-end on OutSystems' cloud-native platform. You'll build reactive web and mobile apps using ODC Studio, with a solid command of screens, blocks, and UI flows, and you're comfortable designing data models, writing aggregates and SQL queries, and implementing business logic through server actions, client actions, and exception handling.
What You Will Do
• Design and build reactive web and mobile applications in ODC Studio, working confidently across screens, blocks, and UI flows.
• Design data models — entities, relationships, and indexes — and write aggregates and SQL queries for data access.
• Implement business logic through server actions and client actions, handle exceptions, and work within the ODC request lifecycle.
• Structure solutions using apps and libraries, applying ODC's decoupled, service-oriented dependency model to promote reusability and separation of concerns.
• Build and consume REST APIs, extend functionality with custom .NET code through external libraries, and integrate with external systems.
• Work with external databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, integrating them into ODC applications.
• Manage timers and asynchronous logic.
• Apply role-based security, screen-level permissions, and authentication patterns.

Technical Competencies

• Data modeling: entities, relationships, indexes, aggregates, and SQL for data access.
• Business logic implementation via server actions, client actions, and exception handling.
• Service-oriented architecture using ODC's apps/libraries dependency model for reusability and separation of concerns.
• REST API development and consumption, including custom .NET extensions via external libraries.
• Integration with external databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and third-party systems.
• Asynchronous processing and timer management.
• Security implementation: role-based access, screen-level permissions, and authentication.
• Deployment management through the ODC Portal's automated pipeline.
