The Role

Lead and develop the engineering function, overseeing multiple engineering disciplines

Manage and coach engineering leaders, supporting team growth and capability development

Drive engineering excellence across system design, software delivery, security, observability, and operational practices

Partner with technology and business stakeholders to deliver strategic projects and roadmap initiatives

Provide technical leadership on architecture decisions, scalability, and platform evolution

Foster a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture within a fully remote environment

Improve processes, documentation, incident management, and engineering standards

Support hiring, succession planning, and long-term organisational development

Your Skills & Experience

Strong engineering leadership experience within complex technology environments

Commercial experience working with data-intensive platforms, data engineering, analytics systems, AI, machine learning infrastructure, or similar domains

Ability to lead across multiple engineering disciplines, including platform, data, and application engineering

Track record of building and developing high-performing engineering teams

Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering best practices, and delivery management

Experience operating in both fast-paced and evolving technology organisations

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders

Comfortable working in ambiguity and driving clarity, ownership, and execution
