Senior Graphic Designer

Founded in 2012, Invisible North is a female-owned creative marketing agency headquartered in NYC with global reach. We are a team of culturally fluent strategists, creatives, designers and producers pushing the limits of possibility. Together we champion creativity and build thoughtful experiences and content that solve business problems and bring brands to life.

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to collaborate with the IN creative team. In this role, you will develop visual identities, branded toolkits, graphic packages, and a range of physical and digital assets for experiential projects across a diverse client roster.

You will contribute to both RFP responses and active, in-production projects, often balancing multiple workstreams at once. The ideal candidate can thoughtfully build upon existing brand guidelines to create distinctive visual systems, then translate those systems seamlessly into impactful environmental graphics and other experiential applications.

The candidate should be comfortable and effective in communicating with vendors and fabricators, ensuring a seamless and collaborative workflow. Candidates with skills in animation, illustration, UI or 3D will be given preference. Being immersed in and thrilled by the latest trends in culture, design, and technology is crucial, as is the development and critique of visual identities through the use of mood imagery.

Additionally, this role will positively contribute to making Invisible North’s culture an envy of the industry, a studio that turns out jaw dropping creative and design and does so by upholding an inclusive, flexible and giving work environment.

While our main office is located in DUMBO Brooklyn, we work as a distributed team with members reaching from Maine to LA, and everywhere in between.

This position is full-time, remote or hybrid (NYC), and should expect to work on ET hours.

Skills + Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within an agency, studio, or fast-paced client-service environment
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across brand identity, art direction, typography, layout, print, packaging, infographics, presentations, and digital design
• Experience translating brand systems into spatial, experiential, or environmental applications preferred

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Ability to develop original visual concepts and graphic systems with a distinctive, well-articulated point of view
• Experience preparing production-ready mechanical files for print, packaging, large-format graphics, and environmental applications
• Strong proficiency in Google Slides, with the ability to create polished, visually compelling client presentations
• Familiarity with emerging AI-assisted creative tools such as Midjourney, Gemini, Higgsfield, or similar platforms
• Ability to lead the development of a visual identity while remaining responsive to feedback and direction from Creative Directors and Art Directors
• Comfortable managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing craft or attention to detail
• Versatile across a wide range of industries, including beauty, fashion, luxury, consumer goods, technology, fitness, media, and emerging platforms
• Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and a willingness to contribute wherever needed
• Experience mentoring junior designers and providing thoughtful, actionable creative feedback
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Able to work remotely during Eastern Time business hours, with the option to work from our New York City office
• Willing and able to travel to project sites and the Invisible North office as needed
• Available for occasional evening or weekend work related to project installations, launches, or other key milestones, with compensatory time provided

Compensation

Full time salary: $75,000 - $85,000 / yr
