The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our Marketing Conversion team. The Marketing Conversion Officer will play a key role in developing and delivering marketing conversion and scholarship campaigns that support prospective students throughout their journey from application to enrolment. Working within the Marketing Conversion team, which is responsible for nurturing applicants through personalised communications across multiple platforms, the post holder will lead and contribute to a range of projects across both digital and traditional marketing channels. The role supports undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment across UK and international markets, helping to deliver engaging, timely and effective communications that encourage student enrolment.
This post can be a remote working post – you can choose to work fully remote (you can also choose to work from the office or hybrid). Please note that there will be a requirement for the post holder to attend occasional Aberystwyth University events and staff meetings on campus (e.g. Applicant Events, Clearing).

What you’ll do
This job description is subject to review and amendment in the light of the changing needs of the University, to provide appropriate development opportunities and/or the addition of any other reasonable duties.
- To help develop and lead on marketing plans for key conversion campaigns, for undergraduate and postgraduate audiences in the UK and internationally
- To lead on delivery of conversion campaigns and projects against a set budget and to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) provided by the Head of Marketing Conversion, reporting campaign progress to the Marketing Conversion Manager at regular intervals
- To track, monitor and analyse campaign progress and effectiveness, producing reports and recommendations to the Marketing Conversion Manager and Head of Marketing Conversion at the end of each campaign
- To develop innovative, creative and competitive conversion campaigns that combine digital and traditional marketing channels, helping the University stand out in the higher education marketplace and maximise recruitment and market share
- To develop strong relationships with staff across academic and professional service departments throughout the University
- To develop and manage relationships with third-party companies (such as Gecko, The Student Room, Unibuddy)
- To develop and deliver online engagement activities for applicants that meet key performance indicators
- To write content for and oversee the production of marketing collateral
- To research, write and edit across appropriate marketing communication channels (website, social media, and online platforms) to promote the University’s work to regional, national, and international applicants
- To lead on essential CRM activities using established procedures, including reporting, analysing routine data, updating email templates and creating customer journeys
- To promote the consistent application of the University’s style and brand guidelines across all marketing collateral
- To represent the University at events including, but not exclusively, Applicant Visiting Days, Open Days, UCAS conventions
- Undertake other duties as assigned by your line manager, commensurate with the role's grade.

Essential
Who you are – Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills required
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience of working in a marketing and/or communications role, with experience across the full marketing mix
- Excellent understanding of a range of marketing channels and how they can be used effectively to achieve campaign goals
- Experience using CRM and email marketing platforms to support marketing activity and customer engagement
- Experience successfully managing multiple marketing campaigns simultaneously and meeting campaign objectives
- Experience of using insights to inform campaign planning and decision-making
- Experience producing campaign analysis reports and making evidence-based recommendations for future activity / campaigns
- Knowledge and understanding of the higher education sector
- Excellent knowledge of standard IT packages and the ability to adapt to using a range of systems
- 10. Highly developed written and oral communication skills

- 12. Budget management skills
- 13. Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills and the ability to work on a variety of projects across teams
- 14. A willingness and ability to work flexibly: some weekend and evening work will be required

- Experience of working in a higher education environment
