An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a global end-user organisation based in the USA. You will play a key role in designing, automating, and supporting scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments.
This is a long-term contract engagement offering highly competitive rates and 100% remote working, providing flexibility while contributing to cutting-edge cloud initiatives within a mature, international team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with application and development teams to enable and optimise their use of cloud platforms
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable software delivery
- Ensure cloud environments are secure, compliant, and aligned with best practices
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using modern observability tools
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across distributed systems
- Support containerised workloads and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (AKS)
- Contribute to cloud architecture decisions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Document processes, standards, and architectural designs

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
- Strong programming or scripting experience in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker) and orchestration using Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
- Good understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, load balancing, DNS, security groups)
- Experience implementing cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, secrets management)
