Junior Web Developer

JHC Consulting is currently advising a regional financial services group on questions of strategic governance and long-term positioning. To support our principals in these analytical efforts, we require a Junior Web Developer to assist in the construction and maintenance of our internal tools and client-facing digital archives. This is a full-time, permanent position that functions entirely remotely. We focus on the clarity of written argument, and our technical systems must reflect that same commitment to precision and quiet reliability.
The Role
In this position, you will be responsible for the front-end upkeep and functional expansion of our private client portals. Rather than building flashy marketing sites, your work will center on ensuring that complex data and long-form memoranda are presented with extreme clarity. You will build tools that help our analysts organize their research and you will maintain the digital repositories where our signed documents are kept for years. On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with principals to turn static analysis into interactive web-based models, ensuring that the technology never distracts from the core message of the counsel provided. This is a role for someone who appreciates the intersection of clean code and clear logic.

What You Bring
We are looking for someone with a solid grasp of the foundations of web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As this is an entry level role, we do not require a long professional history, but we do require a high degree of technical curiosity and a disciplined approach to code. You should be comfortable interpreting requirements from non-technical principals and translating them into functional, clean interfaces. We value the following attributes:
