Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and maintain manual test cases and testing documentation
Validate business requirements and technical specifications for completeness and testability
Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, API, and web application testing
Create and execute test plans and testing strategies for new features, enhancements, and modernization efforts
Execute regression testing in advance of deployments and production releases
Validate data integrity across applications, databases, APIs, and messaging platforms
Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution
Participate in defect triage and root cause analysis activities
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, and DevOps engineers throughout the software development lifecycle
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Partner with fellow QA team members on testing efforts and knowledge sharing activities
Provide quality metrics and recommend measurable reporting that supports continuous improvement and risk management initiatives

Senior QA Analyst / Manual QA Tester (Remote Contract)


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA professional to support a large-scale insurance platform modernization initiative involving cloud technologies, web applications, APIs, and legacy system migration efforts. This role will be responsible for ensuring quality across applications that support the full insurance lifecycle, including policy administration, servicing, claims, accounting, and integrations with partner systems.


The technology environment consists primarily of AWS and .NET applications with ongoing migration from legacy platforms to modern cloud-based architectures. This position will play a key role in supporting parallel modernization workstreams and accelerating delivery timelines.

This is a fully remote contract opportunity supporting an Agile development organization.


Contract Duration

  • Initial contract through December 2026
  • Potential extension into 2027 based on project funding and business priorities


Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain manual test cases and testing documentation.
  • Validate business requirements and technical specifications for completeness and testability.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on manual testing.
  • Experience testing applications hosted in AWS environments.
  • Experience supporting applications built using the .NET technology stack.
  • Experience performing API, web application, and microservice testing.
  • Experience writing and executing comprehensive test plans, testing strategies, and test cases.
  • Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience with IBM i / AS400 / iSeries environments(not required)
  • Experience supporting modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
  • Experience working in hybrid environments that include both legacy and cloud-native applications.
  • Exposure to insurance, financial services, or highly integrated enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
