LeverageTek is actively seeking a Cyber Security Solutions Architect for a 15 month with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
This is a fully remote position.
The successful candidate must be located in Canada and eligible to obtain Secret-level security clearance, requiring a minimum of five years of Canadian residency.
Key Tasks
- Provide cyber security architecture and technology risk advisory services across enterprise initiatives
- Assess current-state and future-state security architectures for cloud and on-premises environments
- Identify security risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps while recommending risk-based improvements
- Design and govern enterprise security controls, including IAM, network security, data protection, logging, and monitoring
- Develop security standards, reference architectures, reusable design patterns, and governance documentation
- Support secure cloud configurations, DevSecOps pipelines, and secure SDLC practices
- Facilitate threat modelling activities across applications, platforms, and AI-enabled solutions
- Contribute to vulnerability management, security testing, and remediation strategies
- Advise on application security, including SAST, DAST, container security, and dependency scanning
- Support the integration of AI into security practices while assessing AI-related risks
- Translate technical security risks into business impacts and provide executive-level recommendations
- Produce governance documentation, executive reports, and other security artifacts
- Deliver workshops, knowledge transfer, and security guidance to technical and business stakeholders

Key Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Cyber Security Architect or Senior Security Specialist within complex, regulated environments
- Experience designing and governing enterprise security controls including IAM, network security, data protection, and logging and monitoring
- Experience assessing current-state security posture and designing target-state security architectures
Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Information Technology or Cyber Security
- Experience with cyber security and risk frameworks including NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53/800-61/800-92, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO/IEC 27002
- Experience with enterprise and security architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and SABSA
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments
- Experience with third-party risk management
- Relevant certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CISM, AWS Security Certification, or Microsoft Azure Security Certification
- Hands-on experience with cloud security architecture, DevSecOps, secure SDLC, threat modelling, vulnerability management, SAST/DAST, container security, dependency scanning, IAM, AI security and governance, technology risk management, and executive reporting
