About Alpine Business Consulting
Alpine Business Consulting is a specialized team that steps in when enterprise reporting systems fail to deliver. Many companies invest heavily in complex planning tools only to find that poor implementation has left them with mismatched numbers and long month-end closes. We fix these systems. Our consultants use their real-world experience to configure tools properly, providing clients with a single source of truth that their finance teams can actually trust.
Currently, a major German logistics provider is expanding its tracking and financial reporting infrastructure. We are assisting them in building out advanced performance management modules to handle their growing data needs. We need a Web Developer Intern who can help us translate complex datasets into functional, clear web interfaces and internal tools for this project and others.
About the role
This is a focused, technical internship for someone who wants to see how web technology supports large-scale business operations. This position is fully remote, meaning you will work from your own environment while staying in constant contact with our senior team. You will not be building marketing sites or flashy animations. Instead, you will help create the dashboards and interfaces that allow executives to make decisions based on clean data.
You will be paired with senior consultants who prioritize working systems over corporate jargon. We value documentation that is easy to read and code that is easy to maintain. This role is about learning how to build tools that last and ensuring that every project ends with a smooth handover to the client team.
What you will do
- Assist in building and maintaining web-based dashboards using HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Collaborate with our data specialists to ensure that front end components accurately reflect the underlying business logic.
- Draft clear documentation and configuration guides that explain how our custom tools are structured.
- Participate in internal reviews to ensure all web components meet our standards for reliability and clarity.
- Help test user interfaces across different devices to ensure consistent performance for our clients.
- Support the team in setting up data visualizations that simplify complex logistical information.
- Create simple, functional internal tools to help our consultants manage project workflows more effectively.

- A preference for clean, predictable code over complex or experimental solutions.
- Strong written communication skills, especially the ability to write instructions and documentation clearly.
- Interest in how business data is structured and presented for professional use.
- The ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying disciplined with your tasks and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems is helpful but not required.

This is a paid internship with a compensation package that is competitive for the contemporary market. We offer a direct look into the world of high-level business consulting without the usual corporate fluff. You will work on real projects, including the expansion for the logistics provider mentioned earlier, and your contributions will go directly into the tools our clients use every day.
Since the role is fully remote, you will have the flexibility to manage your workspace and avoid any commute. You will benefit from the mentorship of senior staff who have years of experience with Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and modern analytics stacks. We believe in providing our interns with substantive work that builds actual skills in configuration and software development.
How we work
At Alpine Business Consulting, we value transparency and predictability. We provide fixed-price quotes to our clients and we keep our internal processes just as direct. We do not use buzzwords like synergy or disruption. We talk about clean data, reliable reporting, and thorough documentation. We want to finish a project knowing the client is well-trained and capable of running their new system independently. As an intern, you will be expected to adopt this same honest, helpful approach to every task you take on.
