Compensation Analyst (Contract)
Remote (U.S.) | Approx. $52/hr Pay Rate | Contract through December 2026
About the Opportunity
A large, established North American employer is seeking an experienced Compensation Analyst to support a compensation transformation initiative focused on an hourly production workforce. This consultant will partner closely with HR and operational leaders across multiple locations to evaluate jobs, establish market-based pricing, and drive consistency in compensation practices.
This is a 100% remote contract role supporting stakeholders across U.S. and Canadian operations. The ideal candidate is highly self-directed, organized, consultative, and comfortable working with distributed teams.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and price hourly production and manufacturing-related positions.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, site leadership, and operational managers to understand job responsibilities and compensation requirements.
- Conduct job analysis and market pricing using established compensation methodologies and survey data.
- Provide recommendations on job leveling, pay structures, and compensation alignment.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and gather information needed to support compensation decisions.
- Maintain and analyze compensation data using Excel and compensation benchmarking tools.
- Present findings and recommendations to HR and business leaders.
- Support ongoing compensation projects and help establish scalable compensation practices across multiple locations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in a dedicated compensation-focused role.
- Experience conducting job evaluations and developing compensation recommendations.
- Experience partnering with HR and business leaders on compensation matters.
- 5+ years of professional HR experience following completion of a bachelor's degree.
- Experience supporting organizations with 1,000+ employees.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to manage large datasets.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in a compensation-only role.
- Experience supporting organizations with 5,000+ employees.
- Experience working with hourly or non-exempt workforces.
- Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, production, distribution, or similar environments.
- Experience using compensation tools such as ERI, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, MarketPay, or comparable market pricing databases.
- Strong PowerPoint and data presentation skills.
