The Role
We're midway through a rebrand with Form Brand Studio, one of the UK's leading brand agencies, whose work includes transforming some of the most recognisable brands in financial services (DOJO) and technology. The thinking is world-class. The brand system being built is exceptional. Now we need the person who will bring it to life across everything Giant touches.
This is a brand designer execution role. Your role for our new brand is to own it, protect it, and apply it with craft and precision across every branded asset that the business produces from print to digital. Examples include pitch decks and proposal templates to website content, social graphics, iconography, infographics, email campaign assets, and report design. You'll join partway through the rebrand process, working closely with Form Brand Studio as they complete the handover. That means you'll learn the brand system as it's being built, directly from the people who created it.
This is not a Canva-templates-and-social-posts role. We need a brand designer with real craft, someone who can look at a brand guideline document and know instinctively how to extend it into new contexts, build out iconography and illustration systems, and make design decisions.
What You'll Build & Own
Brand Asset Production: Work through the full backlog of Giant's existing assets, decks, templates, documents, and collateral, and bring them in line with the new brand.
Website Content & Visuals: Work closely with the marketing team to produce visual content required for the new Webflow website, illustrations, icons, graphics, imagery treatments, and any other design elements needed to bring the site to life.
Pitch Decks & Sales Collateral: Build out polished, on-brand pitch decks, proposal templates, and sales materials that the commercial team can use and the business can trust.
Iconography: Develop and extend the iconography system beyond the initial delivery.
Paid Media & Social Assets: Produce design assets for paid advertising across Google, Meta, Reddit, etc, as well as ongoing social media graphics and email campaign visuals.
Reports & Long-Form Documents: Design polished reports, whitepapers, and structured long-form documents that reflect the quality of the brand. Understand type hierarchy and layout.
Brand Governance & Self-Service: By the end of your first year, the business will be able to self-serve on brand. That means building a clear governance structure, a single source of truth for brand assets, a requests process, usage guidelines, and the templates and systems that let people across Giant create on-brand materials without needing to come to you for everything.

What Success Looks Like
First 3 months: You're embedded in the business. You know what Giant does, who our customers are, and how the different parts of the business think about the brand. You've gone through the handover process with Form Brand Studio and absorbed the brand system deeply. You've started updating existing assets and producing design content for the new website.
First 6 months: The new website has all the visual content it needs and is live. The majority of Giant's brand assets across the business have been updated to reflect the new guidelines. You're producing assets for paid advertising, social, and email campaigns regularly, and collaborating with the Media and Marketing Apprentice on creative projects.
First 12 months The Giant brand is consistent, complete, and recognisable. Every touchpoint, from a sales deck to a social post to an email footer, looks and feels like the same business. There's a single source of truth for all brand assets. The business has a clear process for requesting design work and guidelines for staying on-brand independently. And the brand has started to build a genuinely distinctive identity within the recruitment and workforce industry.
Who You Are
You're a designer who takes the craft seriously. You have genuine skills in graphic design and understand how brand design can be created. You can build out a visual system, not just apply one. You can look at a set of brand guidelines and understand not just what the rules are, but why they exist and how to extend them thoughtfully into new contexts.
You care about the details. Alignment, spacing, type hierarchy, colour consistency. These things bother you when they're wrong, and you fix them without being asked. You're organised enough to manage a mix of reactive requests and longer project work without dropping things, and collaborative enough to work with a small, fast-moving team where everyone's involved.
You're excited about tools. You're already exploring what AI-assisted design looks like in practice, Claude's design features, generative tools, and whatever else is emerging, and you're incorporating them into your workflow without losing the craft underneath. It’s your helper, not your replacement.
You work well independently. In a fully remote role, you manage your own time, communicate proactively, and don't need someone looking over your shoulder to produce great work.
You are not: Someone whose entire toolkit is Canva templates. Someone who can execute a brief but can't extend a brand system. Someone who needs every decision signed off before moving forward. If your portfolio is mostly social media graphics built from existing templates, this probably isn't the right fit.
What We're Looking For
Must Have
- A strong portfolio demonstrating genuine graphic design, iconography, infographics, brand application across multiple formats, and long-form document design
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and Canva, Microsoft Office
- Experience working with and extending brand guidelines, not just following a rulebook, but understanding the visual language well enough to add to it coherently
- Experience producing assets across digital formats, web graphics, social, email, presentations, and digital documents
- Strong attention to detail and consistency, especially across large volumes of assets
- Ability to manage a mixed workload of reactive requests and longer project work
- Comfortable working independently and remotely with a high degree of ownership
- Strong written and verbal English proficiency. Our business, customers, and team are predominantly English-speaking, and clear communication is essential in a remote role
Strong Advantages
- Experience working within a rebrand or brand launch process
- Familiarity with Claude's design features and AI-assisted design tools
- Experience designing for regulated or compliance-heavy industries
- Any exposure to the recruitment, workforce, or HR technology sector
- Experience creating motion graphics or animated assets
- UX or UI knowledge, not required, but valued
- Motion graphics design skills
- Video editing skills
- Experience building brand governance systems or asset libraries
