ROLE OVERVIEW

 We are looking for a full-time Backend Developer to help us build scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere while collaborating closely with our dynamic, distributed team. You’ll work on real-world projects in a supportive environment that encourages continuous learning, teamwork, and innovation — including the use of AI-powered tools to accelerate coding and ensure clean, maintainable code.

REQUIREMENTS

1.  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in backend web development.
3. Strong proficiency in: Laravel (RESTful APIs, Queues, Middleware, Eloquent ORM), PHP (modern syntax and practices), JavaScript (ES6+ basics for integration and debugging), and MongoDB (aggregation, indexing, schema design)

4. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and CRUD operations.
5. Experience in designing and maintaining RESTful APIs (GraphQL experience is a plus).
6. Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js or React.js is a plus, enabling effective collaboration in fullstack development environments.
7. Familiarity with automated testing, including writing unit tests using PHPUnit and API testing with tools like Postman.
8. Experience using CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
9. Proficiency with Git, including branching strategies and version control best practices.
10. Understanding of security best practices (e.g., SQL injection prevention, authentication methods).
11. Hands-on experience with task/project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MIRO).
12. Familiarity with AI-based development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity and code quality.
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
14. Good command of English, both written and spoken.
15. A growth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1.  Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for web and mobile platforms.
2. Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product teams to define and deliver new features.
3. Optimize application performance and ensure backend scalability.
4. Implement secure authentication and authorization systems.
5. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
6. Write and maintain unit tests (using PHPUnit) and integration tests, along with supporting technical documentation.
7. Leverage AI-assisted tools to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
8. Identify, debug, and resolve backend issues and performance bottlenecks.
9. Stay current with evolving backend technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
