Location: Tijuana, Baja California (Hybrid)

Job Description


We are partnering with an innovative MedTech company that is transforming the future of healthcare through cutting-edge technology. We're looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help design, develop, and maintain high-quality software automation solutions for embedded and cloud applications.


This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly collaborative engineering team where you'll play a key role in building scalable automation frameworks, improving software quality, and contributing to products that make a meaningful impact on patients' lives.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for embedded and cloud applications.
  • Develop and execute manual and automated test cases across UI, backend, API, integration, performance, and security testing.
  • Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design test strategies and create comprehensive test plans.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and document software defects.
  • Build and maintain testing environments and hardware test fixtures.
  • Perform root cause analysis and debugging for complex software issues.
  • Participate in risk assessments and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote testing best practices across the engineering organization.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience developing automated tests using Python.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework, Selenium, and Appium.
  • Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Experience testing embedded and cloud-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, black-box, grey-box, and white-box testing.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with embedded systems.
  • Medical device or regulated industry experience.
  • Performance and load testing.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve software testing and automation.
  • Experience building hardware test fixtures.
