Job Description
Role Description This part-time remote role as a Software Quality Assurance Tester at Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Wissenschaftlichen Medizinischen Fachgesellschaften (AWMF) focuses on ensuring the reliability and quality of software used to support medical and scientific work. The Software Quality Assurance Tester will design, execute, and document test cases, including functional, regression, and integration tests. The role involves identifying, analyzing, and reporting defects, collaborating with developers and product stakeholders to clarify requirements, and verifying fixes. The tester will contribute to test planning, maintain test documentation, and support continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and standards. The position requires effective communication in a distributed team environment and adherence to structured testing methodologies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Test Execution skills, including designing, running, and documenting manual and automated test cases.
- Candidates should possess skills in Software Quality and Software Quality Assurance, with familiarity in quality standards, test processes, and defect management tools.
- Candidates should possess Quality Assurance skills, including creating test plans, applying testing methodologies, and supporting continuous improvement of QA practices.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, diagnose issues, and communicate clear, evidence-based findings.
- Experience with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail or similar) and basic understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum) is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively in a part-time schedule, and collaborate with cross-functional teams is required.
- Relevant education or training in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
- Experience in healthcare, medical, or scientific software environments and awareness of data protection and compliance requirements is an advantage.
