Role Description: Freelance Web Designer & Developer — Hospitality Websites
Rocks Group is seeking a talented freelance Web Designer & Developer to lead the redesign and development of our portfolio of hospitality websites.
Rocks Group is a collection of distinctive restaurants and hospitality concepts in Antigua, including Sheer Rocks, Catherine’s Café, Rokuni, Fat Urchin and Roca Cellar & Pantry. We are looking for someone who can translate our established brand identities into visually strong, intuitive and high-performing digital experiences.
This is a remote, freelance project working closely with our in-house Marketing and Design team.
The Project
The selected freelancer will support the redesign and development of several connected websites, including:
- A new Rocks Group website serving as the central group and corporate hub
- New websites for Roca Cellar & Pantry and Fat Urchin
- Design and functionality updates for the existing Sheer Rocks, Catherine’s Café and Rokuni websites
- A consistent digital framework across the group while preserving the distinct identity of each brand
Key Responsibilities
- Develop website strategy, structure, user journeys and page layouts
- Translate existing branding, moodboards and creative direction into polished website designs
- Design responsive desktop and mobile experiences
- Build and launch the websites using an appropriate CMS, such as WordPress or Webflow
- Integrate restaurant reservations, enquiry forms, newsletter sign-ups, analytics and social platforms
- Create an easy-to-manage CMS for menus, events, opening hours, press and imagery
- Ensure strong website performance, accessibility, mobile responsiveness and technical SEO
- Build a scalable foundation for future functionality, including potential e-commerce for Roca
- Provide testing, launch support and basic team training

About You
We are looking for someone who combines strong visual design instincts with practical development expertise.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong portfolio of designed and developed websites
- Experience working with hospitality, restaurant, travel, lifestyle or luxury brands
- Excellent understanding of typography, layout, branding and visual storytelling
- Strong experience with WordPress, Webflow or a comparable CMS
- Experience integrating third-party booking, email marketing and analytics platforms
- An understanding of technical SEO, website speed and responsive development
- The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with an established internal creative lead
- Strong communication, organization and project-management skills
