TXM are working in partnership with a global leader in the automation field. As an IT Project Manager, you will be working for a Global Intralogistics business who specialise in the design and development of highly automated solutions that enable customers to meet their logistics & supply chain needs.
The ideal candidate will come from an Intra-logistics background, with strong experience managing IT/Software Projects from concept to completion.
IT Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Responsibility is to lead/manage stakeholders (internal & external) of projects within the Project life cycle.
- Set up and control the relevant SW workstreams to fulfil the project in time, quality, and budget. Is part of project core team and project organisation.
- Is taking ownership & leadership of all SW related deliveries.
- Is responsible for management of project SW core team (SW Eng, SW Com and SW Dev) and aligns with Controls & QA
- Is agreeing delivery plans and monitoring progress with SW core team.
- Is proactively managing/setting customer expectations.
- Is tracking customer SW responsibilities related to the project scope.
- Is actively managing SW related project risks/issues/dependencies during project phases.
- Traveling to customer sites 25% travelling per year
Experience & requirements for the role:
- Must be able to speak English and German is beneficial.
- Experience/Knowledge how to lead/manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in the Intra-Logistics sector.
- Good knowledge of SW related Project Lifecycle.
- Knowledge of one or more project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, PMI, Critical Path, Kanban, Lean, Six Sigma) or equivalent work experience.
- Basic knowledge of software architecture (WMS, WCS, SRC), interface communication, programming, databases, and data structures.
- Good understanding of system components (function, software, hardware). Good understanding of complex processes in the workflow of our customers.
- Good understanding of what is required to integrate system into the customer environment.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office, DevOps)
