Scala Engineer @ Insitutional Leader (Full Remote in Europe)

Established in 2017, my client operates in 6 countries and is valued at over €7 billion. With a global team of over 100 staff, they are FCA-approved and manage funds exceeding €150 billion on their platform.

In this role, you'll explore cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, including data processing and protocol integration while collaborating with high-level specialists eager to share their expertise. The team is focused on key product changes aimed at enhancing cryptocurrency management and simplifying user interactions with DeFi protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain services for cryptocurrency custody workflows.
• Ensure regulatory integration for clients.
• Address and resolve client and stakeholder issues.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Professional experience with Scala and ideally another JVM language.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Strong emphasis on unit testing and automated server-side code testing.
• Ability to design and implement fault-tolerant services in a distributed environment.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Fintech or Payments or Crypto or Blockchain development and integration, e.g (cryptocurrency wallets, blockchain data processing, DeFi).
• Expertise in building and optimizing high-volume transactional systems.

Core Tech Stack:

• Primary languages: Scala, Typescript, (Node.js)
• Storage: PostgreSQL
