As we continue our rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead the development and execution of a strategic marketing function that strengthens our brand, supports business development, and accelerates growth across our key markets.
Position Summary
The Marketing Director will lead the company's marketing strategy, branding, communications, digital presence, product marketing, and demand generation initiatives.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will build and execute comprehensive marketing programs that increase brand awareness, support sales growth, and position Virginia Transformer as the preferred partner for utilities, EPC firms, renewable energy developers, OEMs, industrial customers, and hyperscale data center operators.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an enterprise-wide marketing strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Lead branding initiatives to strengthen Virginia Transformer's market position across North America.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Executive Leadership to develop market-specific campaigns.
- Build marketing strategies supporting Utilities, Renewable Energy, Industrial, Data Center, EPC, OEM, and International business segments.
- Manage all corporate marketing communications, including:
- Corporate messaging
- Website strategy
- Digital marketing
- Social media
- Public relations
- Press releases
- Executive communications
- Direct product marketing initiatives including product launches, technical collateral, brochures, videos, presentations, and customer-facing materials.
- Develop customer success stories, case studies, white papers, and thought leadership content.
- Oversee trade show strategy, conferences, customer events, and industry sponsorships.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop lead generation and account-based marketing initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, customer insights, and emerging industry opportunities.
- Lead market research supporting new product development and strategic planning.
- Establish and monitor marketing KPIs, including lead generation, campaign effectiveness, digital engagement, and ROI.
- Manage relationships with advertising agencies, creative firms, public relations partners, and digital marketing vendors.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets while maximizing return on investment.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Ensure consistent corporate branding across all internal and external communications.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience.
- 5+ years leading marketing teams within manufacturing, industrial, electrical equipment, power systems, engineered products, energy, infrastructure, or B2B industrial markets.
- Demonstrated success developing integrated marketing strategies that support revenue growth.
- Experience partnering directly with executive leadership and commercial organizations.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM platforms, marketing automation, SEO, analytics, and lead generation.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Experience managing agency relationships and marketing budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master's degree.
- Experience within power transmission, power generation, electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, utilities, renewable energy, or critical infrastructure industries.
- Experience supporting technical sales organizations.
- Knowledge of industrial product marketing and complex engineered solutions.
- Experience marketing to utilities, EPC firms, hyperscale data centers, industrial customers, and OEMs.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, or similar marketing technologies.
