Software Engineer

We're working with an exciting FinTech company in Mechelen, we are looking for a Software Engineer to strengthen the development team. You will work on digital financial solutions used by thousands of customers and help shape the next generation of secure payment and financial platforms.

Your Role

• Develop and maintain high-quality backend applications using Node.js
• Design scalable APIs and microservices architecture
• Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and fellow developers
• Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions
• Work in a cloud-native environment with modern DevOps practices
• Help improve performance, security, and reliability across the platform
• Depending on your interests and experience, you can also contribute to frontend development and cloud infrastructure projects.

Your Profile

• Experience with Node.js is essential
• Knowledge of Nest.js is considered a strong plus
• Experience with Vue.js or other modern frontend frameworks is an advantage
• Familiarity with AWS or cloud environments is highly valued
• Passion for clean code, software architecture, and modern development practices
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
