Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d)

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join an AI-driven company building production-ready machine learning systems at scale.
You'll take ownership of the entire ML lifecycleβfrom prototyping and evaluation to deployment and productionβworking on challenging applications across NLP, speech, computer vision and generative AI. You'll collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and DevOps teams to build reliable, scalable solutions that create real business impact.
Your Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end machine learning systems, from data ingestion to production deployment
- Develop and deploy ML models into production environments
- Design scalable inference pipelines using modern serving frameworks
- Create evaluation frameworks with meaningful quality, latency and cost metrics
- Implement RAG pipelines using vector databases
- Build streaming and real-time analytics pipelines
- Optimize models for performance, scalability and infrastructure efficiency
- Contribute to MLOps processes including monitoring, A/B testing and lifecycle management
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to bring AI solutions into production

What We're Looking For
β 3+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role
β Strong Python skills with hands-on experience in PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
β Proven experience deploying ML models into production
β Docker and Kubernetes experience
β Experience building API-based ML services and CI/CD pipelines
β Strong understanding of MLOps, monitoring and experiment tracking
β Ability to build reliable, scalable and production-ready ML systems
β Based in Germany with valid work authorization
Nice to Have
- Experience with LLMs and RAG systems
- Triton, ONNX, TensorRT or CUDA
- Kafka, Spark, Ray, Flink or Beam
- MLflow or similar MLOps tools
- Experience in regulated or high-security environments
- German language skills (B1+)
